The Book Club

In this page I shall add books that helped me enhance my communication skills as well as gaining new skills, perspectives and sets of information that made it easier for me to handle difficult life situations. I hope you all like it.

My list of favourite books are:
  • The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch  -  A Computer Science professor giving his last lecture at Carnegie Mellon after he has been recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. A lecture that combined humor, intelligence and inspiration that fuelled a worldwide interest in it.
  • How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie  -  A book that was first published in 1937 after the great depression hit the USA. Practical techniques on how to make your life more rewarding and your company more enjoyable. Winning people to your way of thinking was never as easy.
  • Social Intelligence by Daniel Goleman  -  A groundbreaking synthesis of the latest findings in biology and brain science, revealing that we are 'wired to connect' and the surprisingly deep impact of our relationships on every aspect of our lives.
  • The Alchemist (A Novel) by Paolo Coelho  -  A breathtaking story written by one of the most beloved writers of our time about a young Andalusian shepherd who had a dream of finding a treasure under the Pyramids of Egypt. A magical little volume about the trip of this young boy from Spain to Tangier in Morroco then crossing the desert all the way to Egypt. A tale full of spirituality and meaningful lessons.

Check in from time to time to see the latest updates on our BOOK CLUB.
